Betty Lou
Posted by roadhand on December 20, 2013 at 3:43 amEarly Wednesday morning I held my mothers hand as she peacefully drew her last breath. The last two months have been an emotional rollercoaster that all started with a routine procedure on Oct 19th.
She was my rock and I will forever have a void in my heart. She had a lifetime of heartache, more than any one person should ever have to endure, and I know that when she opened her eyes on the other side she fell into the arms of my younger brother and father, which is what she yearned for so many years.
You can read her obituary Here if you are so inclined 🙁JD Juelson replied 10 years, 7 months ago 29 Members · 28 Replies -

That feeling of loss that is so strong now will linger and gradually diminish over time, yet never completely disappear. Memories will become your friends.

Heartfelt condolences. I lost my mom over 40 years ago, and I’m not over it yet.

Sincerest Condolences. I lost my Mom on February 12, 2009. Three weeks later I lost my Office Manager to cancer. She had been with me 10 years and was like a sister. Your grief will diminish but never disappear. Your life without her will take some getting used to. You will continue on in life richer having learned from her and having been loved by her. You will adapt and she will always remain in your heart and soul. God Bless you and keep you.

Sayin’ a prayer for you all right now. Losing your Mother hurts no matter if you’re 8 or 80.
I lost my Mother just four years ago. My grief left after a while, but I’ll always miss her. :u:
Heaven has a special place for Moms.
-
My condolences. Nine years has lessened the pain for me, but not a day goes by that I don’t wish I could pick up the phone or swing by for supper and a chat with Mom.
-
I feel for you brother. I lost my mother in January. We had a ceremony in June. I am far from over it. I’ve been wondering all week how I’m going to deal with her not calling me Christmas day.
-
My deepest sympathies and most sincere prayers go out for you in this time of great loss. May her memories always have the warmest place in the depth of your heart.

Although this is a Mother’s Day Prayer, it is appropriate every day.
I miss my Mom very much after 10 years and 8 months, she will be with you every day.
Mother’s Day Prayer
My mom, I love her
And that’s why I pray
Not just today on this Mother’s DayBut with each remembrance
Of the love she’s expressed
My thankfulness to the Lord I’ve professedFor my life began
In a warm and safe place
Then grew more secure in Mom’s tender embraceWhen I was little
She taught me to crawl
Then to walk and run, and get up when I fallNurtured and cared for
She raised me to stand
Lifted, supported, by her loving handShe believed in me
Inspired me to dream
Nothing was impossible for me, it seemedIt was her example
That pointed the way
To the life in Christ I know todayMy mom, I love her
On this Mother’s Day
She’s the reason I’m taking this moment to prayMy mom, I love her
Let her know, dear Lord
Please bless her with the most abundant reward–Mary Fairchild

The hardest time in most men’s life is when their mother passes away. Ther is a special bond there that cannot be replaced, nor can it ever actually be broken. Losing you Mom at this time of year is especially hard. You and you family are in my thoughts and prayers.
-
My thoughts are with you and your family. My Dad passed away March 1998 and my Mom is now 93 years old. I’ll never forget.
-
Sorry to hear this. The death of loved ones, though inevitable, is never easy. My thoughts are with you. I hope your memories will give you comfort and bring you peace.
-
Roadhand. As you can see, many of us are with you in spirit on this. Your faith will see you through this. Peace to you and yours during this time.
-
Aloha, Roadhand:
My sincere condolences to you and your family. You will be in my prayers! -
You have my condolences. My mother succumbed to Alzheimer’s in October.
-
Words always fail me at times like this. Both my parents passed many years ago. There are still times I wish they were here to guide my decision making process or share a happy moment.

OMG I am sooooo sorry, RH!! :'( I would have replied sooner but I just saw this post. My momma is sick and so I rushed down on the first flight out today to be with her.
I wish I could reach out and give you a big hug through the monitor, but this will have to do for now.
