Another example of why I refuse to work for big box contracting companies, and why the profession needs to shore up its value by refusing to work for people that dont understand what the job really entails.....

Fair.

The mid level is kinda where I get chafed. Associate degree in what? 2 years of pounding nails and cutting brush or have you been processing control and doing network adjustment for analysis and collecting the data you're processing.

I guess I don't know what to expect anymore.?ÿ Sorry for the delivery.

Delete will follow..

@jitterboogie

Associate degree in anything. Shows an awareness for self improvement. Alternatively, if you have two years of experience, you will considered.

Two years of pounding nails and cutting brush is not surveying. That's laboring.

The ad says "will assist", not ability do on your own. Doing that on your own would be "senior level".

There are plenty of problems with our industry regarding entry level pay, experience expectations, career advancement opportunities, but this add isn't one of them.

@richard-imrie

WHY???

I'm a huge advocate for education, particularly a bachelor's degree in surveying.?ÿ But not every job is surveying requires a degree. Jobs that do require a bachelor's degree should have an obvious career track to professional licensing.

This is an entry level position.
