More than one president lived there
How about that? Yep, it's in Odessa, TX and was one of G.W. Bush's boyhood homes.
Odessa
Cool. Look forward to it. My Butt is out of the fire, I am going to bed.
(I was cooking pulled pork. Been having a blast with that all afternoon. Oh how the little things amuse me.)

Yeah, this aerial oblique shows the setup. It's got a tall chain link security fence around the white plastic rail fence.
It looks to me as if the house was moved to that location when the property it was on was needed for something else.

Yes, there isn't that much info about the house that I could find, but I gathered that the Bushes lived in it for about a year until they moved on to fancier quarters.
Aerial imagery shows that the house was moved to its present site sometime between 1996 and 2002. As I recall the story, it was scheduled for demolition and got moved to the edge of the field on the far side of the ditch.
The house got torched afterwards and its present condition is after the extensive fire damage was repaired. I'll bet it was a bit of a trick to find some more green asbestos cement shingles to replace the damaged ones. Must have found some used in good condition.
The Bushes lived there for less than a year
Actually, here's the straight scoop:
>The single-story, 800-square-foot house was restored and eight months of work on it was completed in December 2004. According to the museum's Web site, the Bushes, including the younger President Bush, lived in the home from September 1948 until April 1949.
So, that means that the Bush family stayed there for about 7 months.
