Allot of great bands, Beatles, Stones, Floyd, Zeppelin and on and on but The Who are a live band with no equals. Pete Townshend has written some of the best music ever recorded (Rock). As was stated in the movie "Almost Famous" "nobody can explain rock and roll.......well maybe Pete Townshend"......how true.

I've always loved the Who.....

Daryl,

Great song as well as Athena! My favorites from Townsed and Daltrey.

Have a great week, and Thanksgiving in the upper latitudes! Me and SWMBO are headed closer to the equator (where it’s warm):-)

Snowed in Seattle Last Night/Today, supposed to get cold and windy. Kind of different, we're usually mild. I saw a guy today, in shorts and T-shirt, trying to push his car out, 😀 LOL

May you and yours have a Happy Thanksgiving:-)

I'm kind of partial to Eminence front:

The Who....what a great band. I thought they had fallen off the face of the earth. I remember the 911 concert. They were the only ones to play 4 songs. Man, they still had it and it was a pleasure to watch. Dang shame the base player is no longer with them (rip).

It's kinda funny growing up on music in the late sixties and early seventies.

We saw them at the Long Beach Arena in 1972, on their tour promoting the "Who's Next" album. Being surfer kids in high school, there was nothing better to prepare yourself for 58 degree water, 8 foot waves and not-quite-light-out-yet early morning than "Live at Leeds" on the car stereo at volume. Yes, those would have been 8 track tapes...

Radar,

Thanks for the post. At my age I had completely forgotten about that song!

Best wishes to you and your family! 🙂

Hell, I’ve invited the “other” Deral and his lady friend down for some warm weather. You may come as well, perhaps too much time at the “North Pole” so to speak, has caused a partial disorientation with real sunshine.

Take care, and have a great Thanksgiving!

ps: Southern Caribbean, Barts, Kits, Tortuga etc.

I can remember when Floyd's "A Nice Pair" would enhance the progress housework and bring neighbors over to help....;-)
