At the end of the day, what ends up in a surveyor's pocket? Emptying my pockets the other evening I found (aside from the typical) an almost used up roll of flagging, two Mag nails (different sizes), three flash drives, a marker, micro multi tool, magnifying glass, right angle prism, pocket knife and an HK style sling hook (not sure why that was in there). What's in your pocket?
And cleaning my texts out, I had to laugh at this one. Only a surveyor would get a text like this and know instantly that the sender was ground truthing a map and FORGOT his pen. I'm known for this statement "What kind of surveyor doesn't get to the job with a pen? That's as bad as getting out of the truck without flagging!"
Some lint, a few plastic survey caps, an odd bent nail, (old), 5 dollars in change, a pocket knife, a squashed nearly gone roll of flagging. A dirty toothbrush, 1 large pk na. And a pile of chainsaw dust.
The waitresses have to sweep up after me!
