I got it easy. I have just got to do an Italian green bean/artichoke casserole.
My FIL is not doing a smoked turkey this year. My niece (his granddaughter) is getting married on Saturday and a big rehearsal dinner on Friday.
A lot of folks are in town and not much time to smoke a turkey. So we are having fried bird and then some other side meats items.
Swmbo doing the pies. Apple, Satsuma-Pecan and chocolate pecan.
I may do a crawfish pie also.
So what's cookin?
I made homemade yeast rolls and am making traditional green bean casserole. I got off easy, SIL is making the turkey!
I also made a homemade stromboli today for dinner.
Large can of tuna, raisins, and some beets.
Are those all mixed together?
Hi Julie, thanks for asking.
Our tradition, which is kind of like Festivus, is to partake of the canned tuna, pass it, have some raisins, pass it, and then have some beets.
This goes on for some hours, until someone says it's time to stop.
Just got back from the bro in law's, smoked 4 turkey breasts, one Boston butt and deep fried three turkeys.
We also polished off the last of the pot still Scottish single malt, brought by his ex-wife from Scotland last year. Probably 75° outside, a slight breeze, and excellent company.

I love festivus as much as the next gal, but I am pretty sure I wouldn't want to have to sit in the work truck with any of you the next day 😉
