I always wondered about people from Ohio, (in jest, don’t be offended:-) ), perhaps this explains why.

Was taught to take most any mattress and bed clothes and cushions and pillows and rugs and drapes and such out to hang and be exposed to the sun on a dry hot day whether there are indications of critters or not.
