Shaking my head at this point. No telling what else may be reported. Who knows.... someone may sacrifice an animal next time (well....maybe not if they're going for an Peta job).
Please tell me this was not you.
Had another episode this week like 3 yrs ago. They have no idea again. I took your approach and dropped the passive from the passive aggressive comments to the staff and they released me in two days this time.
No not me; but I think I need all the help I can get. Went to my second interview this week for the security company. It was a group interview. Three managers and nine candidates. I always treat an interview as a sales pitch so I was thrown off when everyone in the room was being asked the same asinine questions as the other eight: "What would your former boss say was your strength and weakness?" "Three words to describe yourself?"
I wanted to ask them how well their salesman would be able to sell their product and service if he had to do his pitch with eight other companies at the same table and only got to answer dumb-ass questions. One good point: I did seem to be the only person that had notes and questions prepared.
I knew I was in trouble when we had to tell how we found out about the job and one of the weirdest guys in the room says, "I have friend that works here." When asked who, he replied, "Well, she is sitting at the end of the table." She was the Hiring Specialist!!
Then I find out at the end of it all that I have to pass a credit check. That would be fine if I had not been out of work for the past 18 months!!! C'est la vie.
Matt: Hope everything works out with that. Yes, passivity is overrated. I have turned my b!t@h switch on many times. It is becoming increasingly hard to turn it off.
UGHHH, that sucks. I always hated ASKING those questions. As for Mike and I, we should be at our 520 middle of next week and end of next week respectively. Not sure, but we find out next week if the scope just doubled. Supervisor came in and talked to all of us this afternoon and said to expect a decision on whether we have to map track we have leased to other companies to come down sometime next week. If they say do it, we have another 5K miles of track to map. Some of the others were grumbling but Mike and I were "sounds great, job security". One thing I have learned from all this downturn is there is no such thing as too much work. I don't know if that means another round of hirings, but if it sounds like it, I will give you a holler so that you can be first in line over at Keith's office.
Your kids ready for school to start yet?
They are ready. Back to school shopping is done. Thankfully, TJ Max carried the "cool" clothes at half the price as the real stores.
So glad your job is going well! Tell Mike I said "Hi!" Got a call this afternoon, I got the job. I will still keep my options open for surveying work if it comes around soon. If not, I guess this will be my career.
