Maybe not unusual, but interesting.
The Brits love their roundabouts. Here's one in Swindon that we negotiated a couple of weeks ago. It's 5 roundabouts in a roundabout. Note that the smaller roundabouts are to be traversed in a clockwise direction while the larger central roundabout is to be traversed in a counter-clockwise direction. Our seasoned British driver had to make an extra trip through to hit the right combination.

I had to laugh. My daughter and her family are currently visiting in Australia. (She lived in England for a year while attending Nottingham University her senior year.) Her husband refused to drive on the "wrong" side of the road so she is doing all the driving. I'll send her your example of a nightmare traffic circle.
A muncipal cleint recently showed me a yard in the ghetto that was readable on google earth, looked like someone used Roundup to write "CRACK WHORE" in the grass and it took up most of the front yard.
