Last time I had absinthe, my wife had to pour me into bed and the armrest in my truck is still bloody from a mystery wound I incurred on that night. BTW, she drove, she's a saint.

it looks like the bottle says "absent", so maybe that is more fitting?! I've heard that is some pretty odd stuff.

I always do that the other way, Crown first, beer chaser. Maybe that would explain why things get so fuzzy after the third or fourth round.

Dewar's, Maker's Mark or Crown Royal will do quite well.

I prefer Wild Turkey Rye or Black Bush.
