In all the countless hours waiting for receivers to cook, various campaign crew have come up with the following:
Truth is what a person chooses to believe that causes them the least amount of internal self conflict such that they can continue to function within the society they are subject to. (aka "history", and being on the "right side of it", as far as the individual is concerned.)
History is written by the victors. (aka, truth)
Perception is reality. (Truth and history are completley subjective.)
Reality is the collapse of the wave function. (Which is stochastic, but also deterministic.)
So, to summarize...
A lot of people, spend a lot of time, trying to convince a lot of others, that they "know" a lot of things (epistemology), when they really don't "know" anything at all.?ÿThrow in greed and self serving human nature, and it's a miracle we've made it this far.
To add insult to injury, society has the audacity to claim knowledge, truth, and history is X (insert expert opinion article and peer reviewed group think here).
And i didn't even get to religion yet...?!
I can yell at the cats without someone calling the ASPCA.?ÿ My grandkids are free to roam as they please without some do-gooder attempting to claim child endangerment against me.
I would be surprised, if I couldn't call ASPCA or CPS, and provide them with information about anyone violating children or animals. When I was in Salt Lake City, I was told a story about how the feds came out and demanded to see what was on the other side of the tall walls that the Mormon's had built, to be sure there wasn't any debauchery going on. This was in the late 19th Century, but I would think Federal law would Trump any local acceptance of such atrocities.
?ÿ
But I could be wrong...
