College football. What a hoot! There may have been sorrow in Mudville when Mighty Casey struck out, but there is wailing and the gnashing of teeth in a number of college towns that normally start the season with four wins to no losses. Locations where the W&G can be found include: Madison, Stillwater, Miami, Boston, Columbia (SC), Fayetteville, San Diego, Austin, Palo Alto, Fresno, West Lafayette, East Lansing, Ann Arbor and Columbus.

Anyone know the last time Ohio State, Michigan State and Michigan all lost on the same day? Add in fellow Big 10 member Purdue to make that a date even further into the past when all four lost on the same day.

this would be amusing if Ohio hadn't been my 10 point pick and Texas my 8 pointer....:-/

You are right about my MI & MSU guys. I really had to concentrate to not throw my beer at the tv, especially the comedy show put on by MI. Biggest WTF I've seen in a long time.

Glad OSU lost though. This Big 10 fans tends to go with WI this year due to strength of schedule: no Buckeyes, Spartans, Wolverines - but those guys all meet up. Nebraska could be the sleeper, with Penn St wishing they were bowl eligible.

How funny, just before I read your post I'd just seen a headline about the NCAA lifting Penn State's postseason ban. http://www.wate.com/story/26477326/ncaa-lifts-penn-states-postseason-ban

Yea Stephen, I just finished reading about it but only on foxsports. Amazing.

Proof that the NCAA wants them in, which translates to money. Not the place for it here with where I'd really like to go. :pissed:

Big 10 just got more competitive on the national level.
