Danged Francaise swillers are having problems grasping your intent, Mr. Barton.

FYI, je ne parle pas Francaise tres bien.

Or something close to that!

What he kinda sorta intended to say, maybe, who knows

You can not spell dick without DC.

Just to make a point that we here in Dallas are in a culturally diverse kind of redneck way

Bingo.

We'll just gloss over that the original comment to which our French friend was responding wasn't referencing high culture (the arts) rather that since the Dallas area has seen the majority of its growth in the post WW2 media environment it's regional culture is more defined by a mass sunbelt culture rather than an individual organically evolved culture.

For example (IMO) Baton Rouge has more in common culturally with Houston and Orlando that developed at the same time and under similar influences than it does with New Orleans

Aber das ist Wasser unter der Brücke

(I would use French, but as Admiral Nelson allegedly once said to a new recruit "Firstly you must always implicitly obey orders, without attempting to form any opinion of your own regarding their propriety. Secondly, you must consider every man your enemy who speaks ill of your king; and thirdly you must hate a Frenchman as you hate the devil.")
