In late 1995 or early 1996 my college french professor (that's right - i took french in college b!tches) had us go online and tour the the Louvre. It was cutting edge at the time and was a big deal because you had to reserve time in the computer lab to get on the internet because of lack of connections and machines. It was very slow and mainly text. I remember thinking to myself "This is BS, why would I ever need this crap in the real world. I want to be a Professional Land Surveyor, how could I ever need to know this stuff. But I did the assignment and got the credit. Little did I know how technologically progressive that little old french lady was back then.
