A cruise ship is the last place I'd want to be in the time of COVID-19.
@jim-frame One of my neighbors left this week on a four week cruise in the South Pacific. Hopefully we'll have SOME kind of handle on this thing before she gets back.

Have one daughter who earns reward trips through her work.?ÿ She has probably been on ten cruises by now.?ÿ She absolutely loves the experience.?ÿ I would be bored to tears after the second day.
Our neighbor wants us to go on an Alaska Cruise next year with him. I've NEVER been on ANY cruise before. Too scared of tidal waves or a glacier breaking off and knocking the ship over! ???ý?????ÿ
@noodles You'll enjoy it. We took my 82 year old Mother in Law on the Inner Passage from Seattle to Alaska about 3 years ago. Those ships are so big that you don't get much, if any, sense of movement from the waves. After a couple of hours you'll just relax and have a good time. Look at the shore excursions and I'm sure you'll find some you like.

That's the one! Our friend says there is NO motion sickness, and there's SO much to do that one would NEVER get bored.
I am still scared. ???? ????
I thought about trying one of those quick 3 day ones to see how I like it before I commit to a big 7-10 day one. ???
If I ever go on a cruise, my wife will not be along.?ÿ She panics a bit if she gets caught at a traffic repair situation and she must spend several minutes on a bridge over a river.
@noodles We did that with my Mother in Law. We took a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas to be sure she would be Okay with it. Surprisingly the only problem she had was her fear of heights. If she stood on the railing and looked down she got dizzy. So we had her just look out instead of down.
By all means look into the onshore excursions, I'm sure you'll find something that you'll like. My favorite was the White Pass railroad ride to the Yukon.
