Those are pretty cool. I've seen some of them before. The link I posted has links to a bunch of different states.

Take a look at Virginia. You'll see at one point that everything out to KY & IL was part of VA. And the counties keep getting chopped up as the population grows. And incorporated cities come and go. There have been times that my record research has lead me back through as many as 5 counties to find what I want.
