Live feed of the USS Iowa as it is being towed out of Richmond, California, through the Golden Gate to its final resting place at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, where it will be transformed into an interactive naval museum.
I think it was the Iowa that was in the mothball fleet in the Carquinez Straight.
The bow could be seen sticking out from behind the shorter ships from I-80 on the way to the Carquinez bridge.
Had a tour of her when she was still commissioned. We were taking a group of Boy Scouts to the Norfolk Naval Yard for a tour and had several ships on the schedule. When we were driving around I noticed the Iowa, so even though she wasn't on our schedule, I went to the shore gate and asked if the Scouts could come aboard. The guard called the OD who said sure. What a magnificent piece of machinery! I know my physics and I know about water displacement, but it was a wonder that she could float with all that steel!

You can also follow it on the San Pedro Live Interactive Marine Traffic Map but you’ll have to zoom way out, find San Francisco, then zoom way in.
The live video feed seems to be somewhat intermittent.
I got to tour the ship my dad was on, the USS Lexington, when it was docked in Pensicola. I believe at the time it was only used as a training ship. It's was pretty amazing.

I have been told the "Lady Lex" is now anchored at Corpus Christi, TX.
