Highlights of the above are:
Parts of the damaged section will be used to repair still standing sections.
The load was permitted for 15'9" which is higher than actual clearance on about the outer 6 feet.
The oversize load actually damaged 10 of the upper horizontal struts, on the collapsed and still standing spans. Overall there were 26 horizontal struts on the 4 spans.

"The load was registered as 15 feet 9 inches in a state permit, while the bridge clearance is 15 feet 6 inches at the edge of the right lane, and 14 feet 6 inches near the right guardrail — so the truck needed to be in the left lane."
"Security video footage shows a white truck passing the tall load near the bridge entrance."
It seems possible that even if in the left lane the load could have struck the bridge.
