I could actually feel my arteries hardening just watching that.....
I do a similar weave with filet mignon and whole garlic cloves imbedded in the beef.
I made one of these for the 4th last year. The neighbor gal was skeptical, but I think she ate 1-1/2 sammies. They are fantastic.
My other neighbor (also a 'que fan) and I were brainstorming and came up with:
The Pilgrim Explosion - bacon, turkey, dressing, cranberries
The Blue Cheese Explosion - bacon, ground beef, blue cheese, brushed with A-1
My personal fav is the double bacon explosion - bacon, stuffed with shredded bacon
I'd also like to try the Bacon Explosion Wellington - you have to see that one to believe it.
