No two ways about it, the better team won. I saw Sabin on the verge of meltdown mode a few times, but not often. Auburn just was outclassed by a better trained, more experienced team.
If it is possible to see your team humiliated and still feel good about it, I love that this keeps the option open for an LSU-Bama rematch.
I was screaming "War Eagle" but it did not help, nothing personal, but I hope something happens and pushes Alabama out of it, I would rather see LSU and Oklahoma State, but I don't think it will happen.
Not sure how playing, or not playing, for the SEC championship will help or hurt LSU and or Alabama.
It is crazy to think of a team being second in the nation, yet not playing for their conference championship, but there it is.
Was it really worth $180,001 ?;-)
That's pretty good!
I would love to see an LSU vs Bama rematch. I don't think there are many teams in the counrty that can hang with LSU this year though... Bama would probably be the only one.
I would have replied sooner but I didn't realise I wasn't logged in and couldn't see any sports posts.
I was in Auburn last Saturday and enjoyed my time there, except when I asked the Tiger fan in front of me to hold her shaker a litle lower because it was right at my eye level and blocked my vision of the field. I was on row 8 in the North end zone. She replied with her middle finger.
I actually wanted Alabama to get into the SEC championship game to cut down on any resentment or backlash. LSU beat Arkansas anyway.
I know it's not fair for LSU to play one more game than Alabama, but those are the rules. They can't be changed during the season.
Well, here is to hoping that Alabama gets denied, I know it is a long shot, but hey, there it is.
