I was sketching and measuring and had my back to the porch and turned around and here was a giant turtle strolling towards me like he owned the darned place.
Give him another 50 years and he will finally be a big one. ?ÿSaw two triple that size yesterday at my rodman's place. ?ÿWe were stopping by between jobs to see the baby camel born yesterday morning. ?ÿAlso checked out the baby yak that was being weaned and mama yak was not happy about that.
?ÿ
BTW, that is a tortoise.
Terror is when you witness just how far the turtle can extend its head and realize that you are standing close enough to be bitten.
That and stepping on one crossing thru water.
Some peoples choice in pets makes me wonder. I know I would not be able to tolerate this for long. My first thoughts were, "god what a evil stare".
Yappin' little house dogs that believe your ankles are food need to go extinct. "Oh, don't worry. ?ÿShe doesn't bite."
?ÿ
That lie is right up there with, "The check is in the mail."
The pic looks like a regular snappin' turtle. I'm sure y'all have Alligator snappers too. Which one is it?
Those things (Alligator snappers) are meaner than a cottonmouth.
BTW: The second pic is a?ÿSphinx Cat. Very intelligent and affectionate.

I was told that the turtle, (tortoise) is a African Spiked tortoise.
