..monsoons in the middle of July?

I'm not complaining about rain, we need all we can get. But it's usually 85 at sun up and 105 at sunset this time of year.

Normally the only rain we get in July or August is an occasional wildcat thundershower in the afternoon that lasts all of two minutes. This is strange indeed.

Today I would welcome what you are getting. Ponds are getting terribly low again. Finally finished wheat harvest on Thursday. No more soybean planting till we get a rain, if ever. No hay down today, probably start cutting more tomorrow. Cattle and other critters all where they are supposed to be and doing well (except for one bull that is visiting the neighbor's cows).
