Well just another nice weekend in our area. Temps in the 80's and nice and sunny. A bit windy but we did a poker run, then car show and then our own run out into the mountains to watch the sun set.

So we first push out the bike near daybreak. Such a fine shot.

One of the stops and a place called Pumkin Center. Nice little stop and we had an RC Cola and moon pie before trekking on.

Pulled in to AJ's BBQ in Elgin, Oklahoma about lunch time. A shot of some of the group.

They only use ugly cows in the making of their BBQ or Jerky it seems.

100 or so riders but I rode mostly with my friends who work for the Lawton public school system. Joanne, Ralph and Me. My attorney redhead took the shot. She had a blast on the ride and didn't want to quit.

Made the run then stopped at the Buffalo Wild Wings for the Bike and Car show. Pretty nice rides all over the place. Here is a couple of bikes that were for sale at the show.

The cars and trucks were pretty cool to though. This was my favorite and it won some sort of trophy in the show. It was a handicap young man and his truck. The bed winch was powered and could lift and bring his wheelchair to the front door. All hand control in the cab. Very nicely done. That's Me and Ralph looking inside.

And there were a bunch of the foreign hot rods. This one was my fav. Gull wing doors and enough NOS to power the space shuttle. I bet it ran like a stripped ape.

Some pretty nice paint on several of the bikes. This one I liked best.

Of course there were the classics as well. Funny to think that what is now a classic is what some of bought brand new back in the day.

Well we all looked at each other and said "Is this all?" Ralph looked over and said "Let's fill up the tanks and head to the mountains".. So we did. All across the Wichita Wildlife Refuge and even ran into one little shower along the way.

I passed a lot of survey marks that I knew were available for some shots but the bike just didn't want to stop.

Of course we did run into some traffic jams along the way. Seems the longhorns were wanting to cross the road.

Well that's it for this weekend and time to go find another adventure tomorrow on the way to Topeka and then Indiana.

Hey Bro. I saw that first pic the other day.
It reminds me of a quip from Hitchhikers Guide:
"There is moment in every dawn when light floats. Creation hold its breath".

Seems fitting for that pic to me.
