How many that have moved to TBC are now bypassing Data Transfer now? We used Data Transfer for the crews rather than having them download directly into a project and if we needed to QC or edit a .DC file before processing.

I'm wondering if the .JOB file is good enough for backup now?

I can't answer your question about the JOB file but you can still use Data Transfer in the stand alone mode to check your files with the DC Editor prior to bringing them into TBC. Just go to where Data Transfer is stored on your computer:
C:program filescommon filestrimbledata transfer and right click on dataxfer.exe and "send to desktop" as a shortcut.

I have to download my TSC1 with Survey Controller ver7.61 this way because TBC will not recognize anything older than SC ver 7.72.

We still use Data Transfer. If you use any other program, such as Carlson, to process terrestrial data, you will need that .dc file.

With TBC's drag and drop ability I was wondering if people were able to edit/correct their .dc files easily...?

I don't have a problem downloading my own field files directly into TBC/TGO but data transfer is just too easy for the crews to drop and go.

Data transfer is a wash for me, but I like the .dc file editor too much to let it go.
