This past weekend I drove about an hour to a dirt track in Paige, Tx that I like to frequent. The main attraction this past weekend were the Southern United Sprints (SUS). They had 21 cars registered for this class. Ran a 19 car, 20 lap feature and the cars were clocked at 115 mph in the straights on a 3/8 mile dirt track. By the end of the night, the dirt in the corners looked as black as asphalt on a well traveled road.
They also ran a truck class, factory stocks and street stocks. Overall had a great night of racing and only a few caution flags and two red flags.
On October 1st they have a Dwarf car class event which is also a good time. Take a 1934 model A, shrink it down to 1/4 scale and put a 1000cc Hayabusa motorcycle engine in it!?ÿ
