OK, our handle broke on the case for the Trimble S6, so, another 3D model.?ÿ

05072018 printed handle 001

The above is a solid model that would cost a lot to laser sinter, so, I made a hollowed out one for Shapeways which is here https://www.shapeways.com/product/9LS44Y49C/trimble-case-handle-for-s6-case and still has a lot of plastic and is expensive

Untitled 1 copy

The solid version's stl is in the zip file

and works fine on an FDM printer

We have been using 3D printed chargers for our S6/S7 batteries for over a year now and they have worked flawlessly. Actually better than the stock chargers that seem to forever trying to decide if a friggin battery is charged. Since a battery charger has so much intrinsic liability, I will never print one for somebody, but, I can provide the model. This model is designed to be printed by FDM and is a tight fit. You will need a Bourn's 70ADH-5-M-ND with the "-5-" being the number of pins. Digi-Key has them here Bourns Trimble pins and you will also need a power plug for which I have been using Conwork PCB mount 3 pins for the 2.1x5.5 plug and slotted 12mm hole Charger Plugs You will also need a Smart Charger to plug into the printed device for which I use this Charger from Battery Space.

The Conwork PCB Mount 3 Pin DC Power Plug Connector Socket 5.5mm x 2.1mm that I specify in the last post are crap.?ÿ The panel screw does not fit on the threads on the plug.?ÿ Get a different brand of plug for the 12mm hole

When the friction screw (I assume that's the one that contacts the rod) on my data collection clamp broke, I just went to my local Ace Hardware store and bought a nylon machine screw to replace it.?ÿ The head is smaller, but there's only a small contact area and it's centered anyway, so it's just as effective.?ÿ No printing required!

LOL, I am in the process of designing something that will use these screws, that is why I modeled them.?ÿ I bought three of them and one of the little friction screws, they totaled $10.50 after tax.?ÿ I didn't think that was too bad.?ÿ The friction screw was $1.50.?ÿ Wait, I got these from Oregon, I still have to pay tax, ....
