I know that, once upon a time, someone here was making reduced scans of instruments and creating Christmas ornaments out of them. Our local Chamber of Commerce (of which I sit on the Board) is donating a decorated tree to the library and we are all invited to supply an ornament. I figure that one of those with my card attached would be pretty cool.

So, who is it??? A google search came up empty.

thank you,
Dtp
PS I forgot that I could search here and I did, and I found Norm Larson!

If you did a search you know that I have these instruments modeled. There is an Trimble S6 in the works, but, I am slow a molasses on that one.

I am setting up a four color printer at my house, but, with all that is going on, that probably will not be on line in time. When that is on line, I am going to print some instrument light sets for Christmas 2018 as well as an HO Bilby tower. The Bilby tower is a challenge as I have already tried and failed, as it is friggin flimsy at HO scale. Right now all that I can offer is the models that I posted on Shapeways for them to print. They come in two basic types, detail (fragile) and laser sintered (solid, rough texture and tough.) Both would have to be hand painted to look good. If you want to print one of the ones on Shapeways and they don't have a hook, I can certainly add that.

1/4 scale Wild T3 for instance
http://tinyurl.com/yboj9d6t is the laser sintered version
http://tinyurl.com/y9pltmmf is the one for frosted ultra detail

1/4 scale Geodimeter
http://tinyurl.com/ybmc2e2g is the laser sintered version
http://tinyurl.com/y8mfbw6h is the one for frosted ultra detail (Richard beat me to this one)
