I've been working on this several days to no avail and am therefore asking anyone I know if you know about SQL server on Windows8.
I honestly don't expect a direct answer but maybe someone here knows someone who might the definitive answer.
I was told this morning by a guy I trust who was told by a SQL expert compadre of his who says SQL will NOT run on Win8.
I'm just finding it hard to believe that MS would be of such folly to release an OS without a database engine that would run.

I'm not (or wasn't running SQL 2005) but that might give some insights.
I'm (or was) running SQL 2008.
