We must have seen 7 or 8 of the buggers today, including the two lovebirds above. Ones that weren't hooked up were on the move, and we had to move a couple of them out of our path as we drove around the site.

Actually, they were in the position you describe when we drove by earlier, but I didn't have time to stop and take a pic. We worked for a couple of hours, and when we came back by they were in the new position. I assume he was waiting for another shot at love, and she was pretending to be asleep, hoping he would go home.
When we first saw them he was actually leaning backward, quite the sight. I wish now that I had stopped the first time.
