I was doing some CAD work late last night. I called it a night about 11:30 and went to unload my truck & put my stuff on charge. Couldn't find my data collector while hooking up the batteries.
I turned my office upside down, looked all over the house and all through the truck. Still couldn't find it. I could have sworn that I had it in my hand when I walked through the door.
At 1:00 am, I decided that I must have left it at a job site on the other end of the county so off I go...wasn't there...somebody must have picked it up and I'll never see it again. I'll bet a new one isn't cheap.
I go back home. By this time (2:00 am), my wife is wide awake from all my knocking and grumbling. She gets up and helps me look.("You don't have to do that, honey." "I may as well..I'm wide awake anyway.") Still can't find it.
I get down on the office floor (for the umpteenth time) to see if it had fallen behind something and noticed it on the sliding mouse pad drawer which I must have slid back under the desk while looking for the data collector.
Yesterday when I came home, I told Cindy, "I've been up past midnight too much lately drawing and cipherin'. I'm going to bed early tonight."
Well, thank goodness ya found it though huh and it wasn't stolen or broken. 🙂
I use to do this with KEYS. I finally made it a habit to always hang my keys on the letter/key thing Wendell made and ever since I have not lost one set of keys. My daughter on the other hand....:-|
