Watches, LOL. I still wear one, a Movado Fiero that is so dumb that I can't see the time unless I find a light. A completely flawed time system I have worn and enjoyed for 11 years now. It is tungsten carbide with a sapphire crystal and it has taken an amazing beating and to this day shows no evidence of it.

I was a watch fanatic for yonks.
Then one day after getting fed up with taking it off every time I pounded pegs or cut out lines never put one back on.
Never missed one.
Sun or light was always a good guide and knowing north or suns altitude was never really far away from accurate enough time for most purposes.
I'm being fairly liberal here. Plus or minus an hour or two,does it (mostly) really matter. Plus my belly would give some indication of elapsed time.
For accurate work the DC or TS was a good guide, then vehicle clocks and other menagerie when home etc.
