> You can find a new AR for that.
Hogwash. I want to know where NEW AR platform weapons are sold at $400. Cheapest DPMS models start at $600 and that is on the 15 platform. Keep crusing up for the 10, 30 and especially the 50 platforms.
My friends were buying $90 SKS's at Payless when I was just out of high school. I couldn't see the purpose of having a military gun over a hunting bolt gun. I gave them a hard time over it.
I have since grown up and matured. I own Russian and USA military guns from the 1950's
Fun stuff!
Funny story concerning automatic weapons fire
so, if it was two guys without a badge, I guys they'd be face down in the dirt with a rookie cops knee in their back.
there is nothing illegal about the ownership of an automatic rifle, if you have the tax stamp for it.
it's dangerous when law enforcement doesn't know the law they are trying to enforce.
Funny story concerning automatic weapons fire
> The men were asked to at least "report" when they would be shooting. Something I'm sure neither is actually that interested in doing. :snarky:
If it was actually necessary for them to "report" for the cops to know the score at that site in the future then the Moore cops aren't too smart.
It always seemed to me to be a little too quiet anytime I was anywhere vaguely rural in OK and I couldn't hear gunshots. Firing off guns is the state pastime.
I used to teach Heavy and Special Weapons at Fort Benning. I've also owned numerous SKS rifles. I've never had one slam fire but I've been on the range when others had it happen. Every time is was cheap ammo and poor maintenance.
$400 is WAY too much for an SKS !! For that price you can get a low capacity WASR-10 which is perfect for deer hunting where you are limited to a 5 round mag. For that same money you should get a scope mount a scope, a flash suppressor. a bunch of extra mags and a nice gun case.
Hit the next gun show and look for the individuals with firearms for private sale to find the bargains. Some of the prices are starting to drop from the vendors too.
