Couple other questions for you...first, your plot plan indicates our deeded access to Frost Fish Creek runs alongside the first property on the left as you head up Rowland Drive, but the Chatham Assessors office told me the deeded access runs alongside the second property on the left (just before where the marsh comes in toward the road across the street from us; I'm assuming you're right, but can you tell me what you're basing the location on? We had a run in with our neighbor at the second location this weekend who of course was nonplussed that we were sauntering through his yard to get to the water.
response:
I am basing my information on your deed, the plan of record and the fact that there is an established, commonly used walkway at the location I am specifying (Based on Google Earth). The Assessor is not always a reliable source for location. The attached KML file will open Google Earth and take you to the location. If you use the timeline feature, you can see where boats are stored here at times. I have also attached your deed and the plan that your deed references for easement purposes. Your lot is defined on Plan Book 196, Page 29 and the easement is defined on Plan Book 233, Page 133. The area you pointed out on the other plan is actually based on two unrelated lines: the property line and a survey traverse line. Hopefully the more established route to the water will be a bit more pleasant for you to use and the neighbors won't be startled by your presence.
I'm trying to follow along.. Are you saying you based your determination on where access is from google earth? Or are you overlaying your field survey data on GE ?
Maybe it's just me on a rainy monday afternoon, but I'm not getting it.
he's just overlaying the survey/plan data on the google earth photo.
spledeus has about 50% of the town tied in to state plane cords so it's very easy to overlay. At least I'm guessing that's his process. And as for town coverage process, I'm just guessing that too, but he has claimed that he's involved in a 10 year plan to coordinate the whole town. He's just not claiming when the ten years will start. I think he's much further along than he's letting on..
ok, but am I missing a joke here? it's posted in Humor. I looked on my GE at Rowland Dr, I didn't see any major walkway that jumped out at me either.
Well, knowing spledeus, I'm going to say that the humor is in the assessors office comments confusing the client.
However, I am trying to figure out that drumming thing you've got going down there on Sanibel....Is that a nightly event and where are the tourists? Do they get scared away when the natives start banging the drums? 🙂
hate to hijack, but the drum circle is in downtown Fort Myers on Sunday nights. We used to drum on the causeway island on Thursday nights, but it's tough to get people to come out when they have to pay the $6 toll. I don't validate parking!
