The Ricoh G800SE is the end of the long line of commercial cameras and coming this March 2017, no more cameras will be produced by Rioch.
No one has even been close to these work horses for Memo fields, excellent GPS, compass and other high end features. http://industry.ricoh.com/en/dc/g/g800se/ GeospatialExperts.com is a very good, if not the best, reseller for these systems. About $1200. These are not your BEST Buy camera, of which the market is saturated with GPS enabled cameras.

I posted on another camera thread here recently that Ricoh bought Pentax a few years ago.
Maybe they are consolidating their brands.
Anyway besides some decent cameras, the best marine binoculars that I ever used were Pentax.
