Interesting read. The growth of 5g may greatly impact our ability to predict the weather.

I saw that recently on a news item down this way - sounds incredible, but plausible - however I figure that since my daily phone is only 2G and at best my smart phone is 4G, any weather forecasts I get will be unaffected. ?????ÿ

Well it's Huawei who is positioned to roll out, and dominate this market. One story I read mentioned infrastructure needed to cover an area. At the frequency they're transmitting at the signal won't cover anything but short distances.
