Rant on
Im working on a boundary of a ranch in excess of 4k acres and 8m dollars and the attorneys keep fighting over the title commitment (getting the title co to delete items). So the commitment keeps changing and they want the survey to show these deletions. Ok.. Title sends me a new commitment and I update and I send a bill for said update (a very fair if not too low hourly rate with a 3hr minimum). Then some screwball realtor starts screaming when she realizes I am now on the clock hourly. I state I have fulfilled my original obligation when the first plat went out correct. They say a surveyor has never charged them for revisions. I say I don't give a F@^T in a whirlwind what other surveyors do ..If you want a revision from me it costs money. We are now in the 4th revision this week.
I wish that I had asked why they cared in first place its not their money.
Rant Off
It only takes one rotten apple to ruin a bin full of them.
The title company needs to step up and make it clear what is required for them to issue a title policy.
If there is a bank involved, they list the line items they require.
Realtor never dictate what is required more than once.
Every time after that costs the same as the first time. New survey with new rules.
B-)
Speaking of Realtors, anyone know what happened to Pat May? Her husband was a surveyor and they were in Florida...
