Ha ha! For some reason, this diesel won't start, unless you bump the starter, for a moment. I'm not sure why.

I have far too much experience with dragging diesel tractors to start them. Darn new-fangled stuff probably insists on inserting a credit or debit card to allow you to turn the key to the ON position.

You must not have seen a lot of recent vehicles. Many of them no longer have a place to insert a key. If you have the fob in your pocket you just push the start button.

Me too. My experience was being on the tractor. When it started I couldn't get it stopped and smashed into the pickup. Found out the reason it wouldn't start (or stop)
was the clutch was stuck.
