Composer Lee Pockriss has died at 87.
Not a familiar name?
Pockriss co-wrote the pop songs “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini,”, sung by Brian Hyland, “Catch a Falling Star” , a hit for Perry Como and “Johnny Angel”, sung by Shelly Fabares on the "Donna Reed Show".
He also wrote songs for "Sesame Street" and several Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, including "Tovarich" which won Vivien Leigh a Tony Award.
