I hadn't talked to him in a while so I called tonight.
I woke Mom up (one hour behind us so no big deal).
She had to take him to the ER last night. She said he wasn't a bit good. No doubt this is a setback from his recent double-knee replacements. Turns out he has blood clots in his chest. They admitted him of course and have him on blood-thinners already and will keep him a couple of days or so.
She said he has his cell phone with him and to give a call. So I did. He sounds great and you would never know anything was up. But he and I and most of you all know blood clots in the chest are a seriously NOT good thing.
No doubt I won't be thinking about much else for a few days.
