Are any of you Pickleball players? I started playing about a year ago and really enjoy it. It is played on a tennis court that has been downsized and the net is slightly lower. The ball is a whiffle ball and the rackets are actually paddles like in ping pong but larger.

Never heard of Pickleball. Looked it up. Got to say it looks like a neat game. I think I'm going to get geared up for it. My brother in law is a big time tennis player. He'd smoke me on the tennis court, but I think I could hang with him on this one. Just might be what I need in my life!

Thanks,

Jules J.

PICKLEBALL??? Shoot, I haven't heard of that in AGES. We used to play it on rainy days in tennis class when I was in high school back in the Mezzanine Period.

I'll play pickleball when they pry my tennis racket out of my cold, dead hand...

Go to the USA Pickleball Assoc. web page for a comprehensive listing of where to play in your area. They even have international locations. There are a lot of videos on you tube also. If you ever find yourself in Oregon be sure to look me up and we will play.

Ed
We have several tennis players in our group. Try it you might like it.

You should try it again. I'm betting you will like it.

I've tried it. In my opinion, it's a good game for when you are to old to play tennis.

Well Ed you might be right, considering that the majority of the people I play with are retired. Come around some time and we will try a match or two. See who is still stand at the end of the day. 🙂

We played "paddle tennis" or "padder tennis" at school during lunchtimes. Made our own plywood paddles. We were the Kings. Sadly no such fun in life these days.

I remember playing it when I was in school. I really liked it.

One of the guys in our office plays in a league. He goes to tournaments and really enjoys it.

I haven't played in any tournaments yet but next Spring I might be going to Ireland and have been invited to play in their national tournament. Pickleball is just getting started over there and this will be their second annual tournament. I told them I didn't think I was good enough for a tournament and they replied that I hadn't seen them play yet.

Hey Andy
We just converted 2 tennis courts into 6 pickleball courts at our local high school. Our group of players has grown from 10 to 35 in just over a year.
