So it seems nearly every cell phone service provider has one of those infernal greetings telling the caller that the person they have tried to reach is not available and then they go on to regale us with instructions on how to leave a voice mail and when we are finished we can hang up or stay on the line for further instructions.

I know all they are trying to do is rack up the time on the call to increase their charges but since voice mail or answering machines have been around for a long time I find it insulting and quite irritating to have to suffer through this crap.

Is there any way around this BS. Can I mash a button to avoid this assault on my common sense? I do know for a fact that cussing does no good.

FL/GA PLS. Those would do nothing to alleviate or address my question. If I call someone I would still be forced to listen to the ridiculous and unnecessary automated message from the other end.

When you are finished you can either hang-up or stay on the line for further instructions.?ÿ Arrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggg
