"David's" Indian accent gave him away right from the get go.
phone call scams claiming to be Microsoft.
My coworker got a text message from "his bank" saying it's a "fraud alert" click here and send us your personal information (to a suspicious e-mail address).
The sad thing is, there are enough people that DO send their info, or download a file per "David's" instructions, to make these scams profitable and worthwhile for the scum that run these rackets.
Most of those I get are from a bank I either don't or have never done business with. I have a lot of bank email addresses for sending such emails to for investigation. I usually get back a nice thank you email.
