First, let me apologize for the showboat move by Blackmon running down the end zone is what was a clear taunting move. Why they didn't call it is beyond me. It was clearly much worse than the K-State penalty of a salute to the crowd that cost them their game.

As to the helmet to helmet hit, then 'live' it appeared that it was going to be a clean tackle. Two men face to face and both prepared for the hit and the runner ducked down so there was helmet to helmet. Entirely different that a helmet hit on an unsuspecting quarterback. That was just my take though.

We enjoyed the weather, the sites in San Antonio and the people from both San Antonio and Arizona. We, in fact, dined with a couple from Arizona after the game. Sadly, they lost and they probably lost money on the game. It was pretty much Orange on all four sides of the stadium. I'd guess that the University of Arizona had to buy up some tickets out of their pockets.

And as a very nice bonus we got to have morning coffee with Randy Hambright and Janice in a lovely town called Marble Falls. Thanks for breakfast Randy. To add to his 'football' room he now has a victory towel from the Alamo Bowl.

From riding the trolley, to great meals in the Market it was a wonderful trip this week. The weather was perfect and we had fresh fruit, bagels and coffee outside every morning and then would sit outside on the river walk each night as we talked of our days exploits and planned the next days excursions.

Of course no trip would be complete without loading up with some good Texas BBQ on the way home.

Thank you Texas and San Antonio for the hospitality and a fun trip.

We enjoyed the short visit also.

Next time a tee time is in order.

The college bowl game pick-em is heating up with just a handful of games left.

The OSU victory towel has been given a nice spot in the football room, right next to the hat you sent me a few years ago.

TCU has thrown a big ol wrench into the BCS system. Not fair that they will not even share a national championship.

Those Sooners finally won a BCS game, but had to play a junior high team to do it. lol

My horns have 8 months to fix last years meltdown, I am sure things will be better in 2011.

Pamela and Janice seemed to hit it off well so they can surely find things to do while we hit the links on the next visit. 🙂 (I'll keep my CC in my pocket and you should do the same though if they hit the road)...LOL

I think UConn played pretty well considering their season and their lack of ranking at the end before they got into the game with OU. Sad for both teams since OU could have been competitive against Bama or LSU and UConn could have played someone else where they would have been more competitive. Stupid BCS sometimes just puts these together based on rules instead of common sense.

We got our 'take home' BBQ and even stopped for an hour in Mineral Wells to take pictures of some of the historic buildings. Met a couple from Canada in Mineral Springs who were heirs to the owners of the old Baker Hotel.
