EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) ?? An Edinburg man received a third charge for theft of cattle, then announced his candidacy for president in 2024.
Phillip Drake, 38, was arrested on May 5 for theft of property between $30,000 and $150,000 according to Hidalgo County jail records.

I thought Texas hung their cattle thieves.?ÿ This one wants to be POTUS.?ÿ At least he has the skills to be successful.

Getting caught puts your name in the news.?ÿ Publicity is good.?ÿ Even bad publicity adds to name recognition.
Many years ago while living in Michigan I noted that the State Treasurer had his name on all sorts of things, including billboards reminding you to renew your automobile license plates in a timely manner.?ÿ I was told the name recognition helped them advance to higher political roles, such as governor or senator.
