Yesterday I played my 200th game of field hockey with the same club. 🙂 I only took up the game as a sprightly 51 year old. My sons talked me into it because the over 50's team were short of players.
I have not regretted it although some Sundays I have been stiff and sore :-O . In 13 seasons I have only missed 5 games through injury.
To celebrate the occassion we had a win (only our second for the season). Much liquid aneasthetic (aka adult beverages) were consumed after the game.
Cheers

Wow! You must be in superior condition. I, until this day, cannot figure out the fun of kicking a ball, running after it, and then kicking it, or whoever happens to be in the way, again. I have never been fond of games involving a ball. (That’s probably because of a “Dodgeball” incident while in my grammar school years. But that is a story in itself.)
On the other side of the coin however, I will watch anything with a motor, or sails in, on or attached to it go around in circles, especially NASCAR. And probably a lot more people view me as some sort of imbicile for doing that.
To each his own and peace. 🙂
Have a great Sunday! B-)

Balga is just down the road from where I live.
What brought you to Perth?
