Our little town's Oktoberfest ended tonight at our community trailhead at the old defunct RR depot which is a few blocks from the home..
It was sponsored by the Heiner Brau brewery which is adjacent. A real bavarian brewmaster.
Good beer, music and food.
I toasted all my fellow schwanzstuckers. Eins Zwei gesuffe. I still know the German beer drinking songs from H.S German class ages ago.
Heiner Brau
We also toasted to the world's largest bronze statue of RR that stands at the trailhead. America's most famous and iconic schwanzstucker.
Great weather today and good soccer this morning. My U8 team thoroughly thrashed a visiting team from Abita Springs and then our U10 lil schwanzstuckers got their first win (5-1) over a visiting team from Madisonville.
Tomorrow , the Wooden Boat Fest in Madisonville.
