Oklahoma to take Texas with it as it breaks of off the continental plate and slides into the Gulf of Mexico. We've been hearing for decades how the earthquakes in California were going to cause it to break off and slide into the Pacific Ocean. Now Oklahoma is going earthquake crazy. One early today in Cushing, Oklahoma registered 4.1. That entire region has been having quakes from 2 or so up to about 4.5 quite regularly in recent years. I just hope all of the huge oil pipelines that enter Cushing from the north are designed to accept earthquake activity.
A quote from the link. "One-fifth of the countryÛªs commercial crude oil storage capacity is located Cushing, Okla., a small city of about 7,900 in northeastern Oklahoma. On the cityÛªs outskirts, field after field are filled with hulking steel storage tanks."
