Sad to learn that Mac Davis is gone as of yesterday.?ÿ Hard to believe it has been 41 years since he was in North Dallas Forty with Nick Nolte.

I remember hearing a story many years ago about a show in Lubbock. I think it was Elvis Presley with a new guy, Buddy Holly opening and a local DJ, Waylon Jennings doing the introductions. Mack Davis was a kid in the Audience.
There is a long list of songs written by Mack Davis that were recorded by Elvis and others.
My Mother went to school with his sister in Lubbock for one year.
