Another thing for grumpy old men to complain about.?ÿ When did the FAA change "Notice To Airmen" to "Notice To Air Mission"??ÿ I get the rationale, I'm just getting more averse to change as I age.?ÿ (I still call those things I open "manholes.")
I see that the FAA hasn't completed the transition yet.?ÿ This is a partial screenshot from the main dropdown menu on the FAA website:
At least they didn't have to change it to NOTAMaW or NOTAP.
I'm guessing this topic came up today because of the news that the FAA was having trouble with their system (database issues?) and delayed a lot of flight departures.
Do you have any inside info on what the cause was?
