I got tired of stuff and my usual weather site doesn’t give heat indexes.
So, being the curious lot I am I found some code to do it for me so I built a simple htm page to do just that.
While I was at it, I figured I’d look around for one that does wind chill as well. And, I did.
Temps are all in Fahrenheit. I haven’t matched up the wind chill results to published charts but the heat index thingy seems to be spot on.
Email me directly if you want the page. I only take credit for putting the two together. The forumulae came from the National Weather Service at NOAA. I damm sure won't even think to take credit for their math.
I have tested it against IE 6 compatibility [very old] and it’s fine.
